If you’ve found this page you’ve probably already done at least a bit of research into how to stop Telogen Effluvium at this point. Maybe you’ve even given some of the traditional hair regrowth solutions a try (Rogaine) or perused a variety of other hair sites. If so, then you’ve most likely discovered one obstacle, in particular- conflicting information.

One site might tell you that it’s all a matter of using a product with a certain ingredient such as Minoxidil, (the main ingredient marketed in Rogaine) while another will state that that exact ingredient is what prevents hair regrowth. It can be confusing and frustrating, to say the least! To make matters worse, the vast majority of dermatologists still share the outdated belief that drug based products (like Rogaine ) will help people with Telogen Effluvium / hair loss.

The problem is that many of these products exist for the sole purpose of making money and come with a plethora of side effects. For example, Rogaine works by opening up ATP sensitive potassium channels in the hair follicles which increases hair growth through the derma papilia. Unfortunately, the hair growth effect is short term as the single thing minoxidil is really doing is counterbalancing for a mineralocorticoid and electrolyte imbalance, which is adjusted by magnesium, potassium and other compounds. In other words, it creates minoxidil dependent hairs that will shed once you stop using it. Not so great for you but awesome for them in the long run since you became a lifetime customer.

We always recommend opting for natural topical products that do not create dependent hairs but rather stimulates hair growth naturally. In this case, we wholly endorse Nature Crazy’s Daily And Nightly TE Hair Tonic’s which contain a vast array of essential oils and other natural powerful ingredients that can help thicken your hair. In fact, a recent study showed that just one of our natural ingredients outperformed Minoxidil by itself. The key difference is you can ween off a natural product once your hair is back to normal.
